Obtain timely counseling from the comfort of your own home.
March 26th, 2020 Update:
We are thankful that all of the insurance networks, for which we are preferred providers, have communicated with us that they are covering TeleMental Health Services just like they did face to face services in our office. This is a very unique accommodation that they have made, and it keeps your best interest in mind. Many will do so for 90 days effective March 17th, 2020. The Department of Health and Human Services for the United States has provided the guidance and authority for them to make this accommodation and for us to provide you these services
Feel free to call us to ask if your insurance company is on the list, but as of today these are the companies that allow us to see you online rather than skipping or rescheduling your appointment:
Security Health Plan (Commercial and Medicaid), Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare (including, we think, UMR and UHSS), Badgercare (Title IX), WEA Trust, Network Health Plan (Commercial and Medicaid), Wisconsin Physicians Service (WPS), and Cigna Healthcare.
You are welcome to come to our office as usual for your appointment, or you can request to have a TeleMental Health session, if you would like to do so. Please let us know your preference and we will set up either a phone session or virtual session for you.
Given this unique time in our communities, the staff at APS wanted to let you know that we are all available to provide you timely and secure help even from the comfort of your own home. We already have the systems in place to do this with our email system and communication system.
In addition, many insurance companies either already have telemental health providers available or some have even allowed for us to provide distance based services AND have it covered just as usual. We advise that you call your insurance company to find out about any changes due to COVID-19.
If you go to our scheduling page, you will be able to choose “TeleMental Health Services” to see your provider. Once that appointment is made, we can help determine if you will need to pay out of pocket due to no insurance, or if we can go ahead and bill your insurance as usual.
All of our paperwork can be completed via email with digital signatures, if applicable, for any new clients who live in Wisconsin. Otherwise, we hope that this helps bring peace of mind that you can still see your current counselor without the increased stress or worry of coming to our office. We hope our response to helping during this crisis is well received, but if you have any additional questions, please contact us.
